Transparency of Process: Bane or Boon

I have been creating art consistently for a while now. My art-making process is quite open mostly because I work from home-based studio and also because I like the feedback as much on the final piece as on the process. It has worked out fairly well for me.

I have friends, clients, guests coming over and letting me know what they think about it. It adds a layer of team effort to otherwise a single artist effort. But, I have come to realize, that's not how many others look at it. They like to keep a sense of secrecy until the piece is ready for the viewing. And, I understand this.

If you are an artist, which type are you?
